Mabel Clark Born: May 25, about 1890-- Died: 1974 |
Mabel Clark was born in Brooklyn, NY. She married Royal Washington Altreuter on Feb 17,1914. They had one son, Royal Kenneth Altreuter. She was widowed at the age of 35 years. She remarried on March 11, 1929 to Hiram S. Jackson, who was a widower. Hiram had a son, Robert, the same age as Kenneth. The family moved from Brooklyn to Little Silver, NJ. Hiram sold school supplies. He died in 1954 shortly after Mabel and Hiram returned from a cruise to Bermuda. Mabel was interested in the stock market and in finance. She was an astute but cautious investor. She died in 1974 of lung cancer that was discovered while she was hospitalized for a heart attack. |
