William B. Altreuter Born: February 1, 1880 -- Died: unknown date |
This formal portrait of William Altreuter was probably taken after his brother, Royal, had died. William was 9 years older than Royal. William and Royal worked together as brokers at the cotton exchange. They did very well before Royal died and William continued to do well until the depression. He apparently lost a fortune but recovered nicely.
