Mary Emma Altreuter

December 17, 1876 - December 1962

Mary Altreuter was the oldest of the four siblings. She was known as May to much of her family. In her own Bible she calls herself both Mary and May. It appears that Mary Emma was her birth name but she often used May. We are grateful to her grandson for providing photocopies of her handwritten family records from inside her Bible.

Mary married Burgess F. Morhous on August 9,1904 at St. George's PE Church in Brooklyn, NY.. They had two children, Burgess F.Morhous, Jr and John A Morhous. More of the Morhous genealogy is available elsewhere on the web. Mary has several living descendants.
